“Roger and Me” by Michael Moore
This film documents the effects of the decision of GM to outsource its workforce to Mexico, effectively turning Michael Moore’s hometown of Flint, Michigan, into a ghost town. The richest company in the world at the time, GM closed 11 plants, laying off 30,000 employees, while it was making profits in the billions.
After the movie, we’ll discuss Michael Moore’s and your ideas for how we can turn GM into a company that better serves the needs of our time.
